If you do, your application will be rejected. The sample can be a new article or a recently published article on another site (within the last 6 months), but it should be directly related to the specific role/team/topic you are applying for. (For example: If applying to cover the Chicago Bears, submit an article related to the Bears, not another NFL team, or another sport.).*
